Pandemic Panning Out?

So the pork-flu pandemic is looming again in the news, just in case anyone missed last years £15 million NHS ad campaign (up from the £1.5 million budget the previous year). And according to the linked article in the Telegraph above, the next big fear is sending the little ones back to school where they could start a major epidemic. Surely it must be time to advertise this so everyone knows about it!

However, despite being well prepared to fight this viral menace, uptake is proving to remain remarkably low here in the UK and abroad. What ever could be keeping 46% of those offered the vaccine away in the UK. Why might only 5% - 25% of pregnant British women be having it?

I fear there will be need to be much more spent on advertising this peril if the government are to reach their vaccination targets.

It's a complex issue, find out more for yourself rather than reacting to scare mongering.
